The Internet offers users a number of services:

World Wide Web

The World Wide Web (WWW) is the most commonly used Internet service. Don’t confuse the WWW with the Internet. The WWW is just one of the many services available on the Internet.

The WWW consists of millions of multimedia hyperlinked documents. Each multimedia document is called a web page. A website consists of a number of hyperlinked web pages, hosted on a web server. Web servers are capable of storing thousands of websites.

The WWW allows the user to interact with a number of other web services. These include:
