Expert Systems

In a nutshell.

An expert system is a program which contains the specialist knowledge of one or more human experts in a specific domain. The expert system provides a user with advice and can explain why it asks the questions it does, and how it draws the given conclusions. An expert system should be able to handle uncertain information.
